We are seeking a dedicated IT Systems Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in supporting, enhancing, and securing our systems. Responsibilities:
- Client interaction and management
- Manage and oversee networking platform
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network and system issues
- Monitor and maintain the active network and server infrastructure
- Execute routine preventative maintenance on network equipment
- Administer network security measures to safeguard against system interruptions or breaches
- Execute sensitive data backup and restoration procedures
- Contribute to our system modernization efforts by updating and enhancing our technology infrastructure to meet evolving industry standards and organizational goals
- Document all technical procedures and user guides to ensure knowledge transfer and transparency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a network or systems administrator, with a minimum of 5 years in the IT sector
- Technical Expertise: Providing in-depth proficiency in .Net technologies, networking, security, cybersecurity, SQL Server, and data parsing to analyze, design, and implement advanced IT solutions
- Proficiency in virtualization, including Hyper-V
- Excellent ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines
- Exceptional troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Expertise in Java script development
- Database experience, with SQL proficiency (knowledge of other database systems such as Oracle, MongoDB, or MySQL is an asset)
- Proficiency in web updating and maintenance
- Ability to envision changes on both the front end and database side of applications for modernization and automation
- Familiarity with website security best practices
- Experience with WordPress, including installation and setup (an asset)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A strong work ethic to support full remote employment.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols
